REACTIONS OF INDIVIDUALS WHO SAW JESUS
Texts: John 1:35-51, 3:24-36, 4:4-42

When John the Baptist saw Jesus, he declared and acknowledged that Jesus is the Lamb of God. He didn’t try to hide it, he proclaimed it to even his disciples not minding if they would leave him for Jesus, after all what was his mission – “that through him all might believe in Jesus” So he didn’t worry when his disciples left him for Jesus rather he rejoiced because he was fulfilling the work of Him who sent Him (John 1:35-38, 3:26-36)

Man of God, what are you doing today? Are you now proclaiming yourself and turning people to yourself instead of proclaiming Jesus Christ and turning people to Him. Remember the one who sent you and the words He gave you when He sent you, redress and repent from such act before it might be too late. Remember His coming draws nearer than we think.

Andrew was a good brother. After he heard the word about Christ, found and followed Christ, went back to his brother Simon, told him about Christ and brought him to Jesus Christ (John 1:40-42)
Are you a good brother or sister? Have you heard, believed and received Christ and yet your own brothers or sisters have not and you haven’t told them up till now. Please like Andrew do not waste any more time, go immediately, tell them all about Jesus and bring them to Him, then you too will be a good brother or sister.

Philip again was a good friend who was called by Jesus Christ and also went to tell his friend Nathanael saying “we have found the one Moses wrote about in the law, and about whom the Prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph” Philip didn’t just end at telling Nathanael about Jesus but took him to Jesus and Nathanael believed (John 1:43-51)

Do you still have friends who haven’t heard about Jesus, please like Philip be a good friend, tell your friend about Jesus and bring him/her to Jesus Christ.

What are you still doing? Haven’t you seen a lot? Haven’t you experienced great and mighty miracles from Jesus in your life? Why are you still silent about it? Like the Samaritan Woman why not go back to the town and tell the people what you have seen, heard and witnessed? (John 4:28-30) Then you will be a good citizen, a good neighbor and a good statesman.

“Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him (Jesus) because of the woman’s testimony…” (John 4:39) So why withholding your testimony? Do you know how many lives you would have won for God by sharing that wonderful testimony? Please don’t keep it to yourself, tell somebody, tell your family, tell it to your town, save someone’s life today.

Someone is waiting to hear that testimony to be saved. Someone needs your testimony to strengthen their faith, somebody needs your testimony to get them out of their desperate setbacks. What is your testimony?

Your testimony propels people to seek Jesus for themselves and when they do, they get to hear, see and experience for themselves and believe even better, their faith increases (John 4:41-42).

ADDICTION!

Addiction! I weep because of addiction. A silent and obvious killer. Killing its victims slowly and gently. Many people who are victims of one form of addiction can agree to this fact. Even when they are conscious of the fact that they are suffering from the consequences of their addiction, they are still caught up in the cage of addiction. Tell me, why after all these plaques, killing and torture people received as a result of God's wrath yet they still did not repent. What do you think is the cause? Addiction! (Revelation 9:20-21) Hmm. Addiction! A prison, that its inmates finds it very difficulty to be bailed out. Addiction is one of the works of the devil to keep his victims in check. But thanks be to our God for sending his son Jesus Christ for this very reason; to destroy the work of the devil - including every form of addiction. (1 John 3:8) Receive Jesus now and be free from every addiction, cause He is the only one that can bail you out ...
