BY IDOKO, MESHACH O. HYPOTHESIS Homosexuality is one of the Adamic natures of man and is potential in every man and will manifest if the appropriate factors propel it. Premises: 1.   All men are born with the Adamic nature. 2.   The Adamic nature is corrupted and sinful. 3.   All men are born in/with sin. David confirmed that when he said, “surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.” (Psalm 51:5) 4.   All men are born with the potential to do good or evil. Scriptures to back up these premises; Ps. 51:5, Eph. 2:3, Rom. 5:2, 3:23, Gen. 6:5, 8:21, Ps. 58:3, Jer. 17:9. The flesh has works and these works of the flesh if given the opportunity will manifest in one’s life. I have brought out this topic today, because of the controversies as regards the origin of homosexuality. I believe we all agree with the premises stated above. Lust: fulfilling sin’s (flesh’s) desire… Love: fulfilling God’s desire… Main Texts: 2 Peter 1:7 and Luke 18:27 (NIV) “…and to godliness, mutual affection ; and to mutual affection, love . ” (2 Peter 1:7) Jesus replied,  “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” (Luke 18:27) You can channel those emotions to fulfil God’s desire instead of fulfilling the desires of your flesh. God gave you emotions for a purpose. Use it to fulfil His purpose. Have you ever lusted after something or someone? Have you had a ‘crush’ on someone before? Do you know you can turn that desire or lust into love? Do you know you can use those emotions or feelings to fulfil God’s purpose? Growing up from childhood, this is one major challenge that we all faced.
