AM I BORN A HOMOSEXUAL?

HYPOTHESIS

Homosexuality is one of the Adamic natures of man and is potential in every man and will manifest if the appropriate factors propel it.

Premises:

1.  All men are born with the Adamic nature.

2.  The Adamic nature is corrupted and sinful.

3.  All men are born in/with sin. David confirmed that when he said, “surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.” (Psalm 51:5)

4.  All men are born with the potential to do good or evil.

Scriptures to back up these premises; Ps. 51:5, Eph. 2:3, Rom. 5:2, 3:23, Gen. 6:5, 8:21, Ps. 58:3, Jer. 17:9.

The flesh has works and these works of the flesh if given the opportunity will manifest in one’s life.

I have brought out this topic today, because of the controversies as regards the origin of homosexuality.

I believe we all agree with the premises stated above. If you agree with that, then you should also agree with the deductions below.

Homosexuality is one of the works of the flesh. It is one of the manifestations of the Adamic nature. It is one of the sins that men are born into.

The Apostle Paul mentioned in Galatians 5 about the acts of the flesh which are obvious; sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. (Galatians 5:19-21)

Among these acts mentioned is sexual immorality of which homosexuality is under. Now, it is not all these acts that manifest in a person’s life even though all are potential in a person. They only manifest in our lives only when they are propelled to.

For example, drunkenness can manifest in a person’s life if that person agrees to the desire to drink or if he/she begins to give in to the idea of tasting ‘drinks’ as compelled by friends, going out with friends who drink, staying around the area where people drink. These entire thing and others are factors that can propel the potential of drunkenness in the flesh and it begins to manifest in that individual.

The point is, this drunkenness is already in the flesh, it only needs something to make it manifest.

Witchcraft, as mentioned, is one of the acts of the flesh that is potential in every man. It would become kinetic if propelled by the force of friendship, association, rebelliousness, and other factors.

So also is homosexuality. Anybody can be homosexual because it is one of the acts of the flesh. People who see this manifesting in their lives wonder how it came about. But I want you to know that something, a factor propelled this act to manifest and that’s why it manifests in such individuals.

So, what are those factors? Some of these people were exposed to some things while growing up, some were exposed to pornography, some were exposed to rape and assault, some were exposed to feminine environment or association (in the case of gays) or masculine environment or association (in the case of lesbians)  as the case may be. Some were pampered, some were not loved, and others were not taken proper care of by their parents or siblings. Some were despised, rejected and abandoned. And because of these they were looking for love but in the wrong direction. These and many more are the factors that propel this homosexuality in these individuals and they begin to see it manifest in their lives.

The nature of man is already corrupted and can adapt to any bad influence so easily and that’s why it is easier to do badly than good. Take a careful look at yourself, you will realize that you naturally and easily do badly but you will have to deliberately choose to do good even the slightest of good deeds. Am I correct?

The truth is, any of us can be thieves, any of us can be witchcraft, any of us can be drunkards, and any of us can be homosexuals because these are already in our Adamic nature. If given the same opportunity as we see in those thieves, drunkards or homosexuals or if propelled by those factors we will notice that they will manifest in us because it is already in every man.

Okay, let’s take a look at a child who grows up to be a thief. You wonder why that child is a thief right? Was he born that way? The answer is yes! He was born with the Adamic nature. And not only could he be a thief, but he could also still be any other thing. But circumstances and other factors propelled that potential of stealing in that child and that’s why he grew up into stealing. These could be as a result of poor family background, lack of proper parental control, bad association and others. So also is homosexuality.

Take note of this: I am not supporting that homosexuality is good but I am making it clear how it manifests in a man’s life. All I am saying is that homosexuality is just like every other sin or act of the flesh that can manifest in anyone’s life if given the opportunity and that’s why Apostle Paul said: “don’t walk by the flesh.” Why did he say so? So that you don’t allow the flesh to manifest its acts. He said “walk by the Spirit…” and when you do, you will kill every opportunity or factors that will lead to the acts of the flesh. That is what he meant when he said: “walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16) Walking by the Spirit allows the Spirit to produce His fruit in you which is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

We all know that to be able to cut down a tree completely, you must cut it from its root. How can you cut the tree from its root if you don’t know where it originates from? And that is the purpose of this article.

BUT I WON’T END THIS WITHOUT GIVING A SOLUTION.

THE SOLUTION

The solution now lies in us walking according to the Spirit and not the flesh. Looking unto our perfect nature, who is JESUS. The secret is, when we look unto Him, when we behold Him, we become into His very image and nature and this is just the secret of overcoming homosexuality or any other kinds of sin.

The ability to overcome your Adamic nature does not reside in you. So, you can’t do it. It is only by looking unto the second Adam, JESUS, who has brought life instead of death, light instead of darkness, truth instead of falsehood and being the way to the Father. He is the only one that can set us free.

Look to JESUS, who heals, saves, delivers and blesses. Only JESUS can set you free!!!
