God's Love For Israel

I now see why God will never divorce his unfaithful wife Israel for another no matter how stubborn and unrepentant they are, no matter his punishment (discipline) and judgment upon them, He always leave a remnant among them (Isaiah 10:20-22). This is because if God wants man never to divorce his wife except in unfaithfulness then he has to show us a perfect example by not divorcing his wife as well. (Ezekiel 16, Hosea 1:2, Matthew 5:31-32, Jeremiah 2:23-3:5,11-15) Remember, Jesus said even if a man divorces his wife he must remain unmarried otherwise he or the wife if married to another would be committing adultery (Matthew 5:31-32). God doesn't want to and won't commit adultery, this is against his nature and that's why he can't let go of Israel. Israel is his Bride. This is why God even said He loves them with an everlasting or unfailing love. This is a kind of love that would never change regardless of the attitude of Israel. (Hosea 14:4, Psalm 36:7, Zephaniah 3:17,...

WHAT IS LOVE?

I don't have issues with you loving a man as you would a woman just like David had for Jonathan and Jonathan for David. But my issue is what you do with that love. You must understand what love is all about and don't let the devil twist up things for you.  Jonathan loved David so much that he didn't sleep around with him but helped David fulfilled his purpose.  He loved David so much that he brought David to the same throne he would have inherited. This is what love is all about. It is not what the world is presenting to you.  Love is a commitment you make with someone without any expectation from that person and that was what David and Jonathan made for each other. Jonathan became so loyal to David that he could hand over his sword to David.  Love is choosing to care for someone. To care means to anticipate someone's need and meet it. This is what true love is all about. Jonathan anticipated David's need and met all of them as he could. This is the true love t...

THE SHREWD MANAGER (Luke 16:1-15)

The word Shrewd means having or showing sharp powers of judgment; astute. It refers to being clever, or in our local parlance we can say "sharp guy".  In the context of this parable, this manager was a "sharp guy" even though he was dishonest.  The lesson about this parable is not that Jesus wants us to be dishonest. No! He doesn't want us to take advantage of people falsely. These are characters associated with people of the world just like the manager in this parable of Jesus. The main lesson I believe Jesus wants us to learn is the fact that the manager was foresighted.  He thought about his future immediately he got to know he would be kicked out of his position. He found a way for himself and this was just what the master commended and nothing more.  The reason Jesus brought this story is to put in our hearts the need for us to prepare ourselves for our future so that when we are no more on this earth and enjoying its benefits again, we would have in stor...

WHERE DO BELIEVERS STAY AFTER DEATH?

Where Do Believers Stay After Death?   Someone asked in a group on WhatsApp; "What's your view about believers waiting in Hades after death?" and by the grace of God I was led to reply to this question and below is my response.  I don't believe believers wait in Hades after death. I believe they are with the Lord waiting for the rising of their brethren that is for the rapturing of the saints who are still living physically.   Remember, in John 11:25  Jesus had said "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." This means, Believers who die physically are living and have nothing to do with Hades because Hades is for the dead and believers are not dead. They are alive! Colossians 3:1-4, Ephesians 2:6, Romans 6:4 all say, 'we are seated with Christ in heavenly places even now that we are alive physically. This is because we believe in him and we are one wit...

Attitude of a believer when faced with a storm

Are you going through storms today? We all are going through the toughest of times today and it is affecting everyone. But what should be the attitude of a believer in the midst of a storm? Listen to this excerpt from a study held at the All Saints Chapel University of Benin, Benin City Edo State, Nigeria and find the answer to the question above.

HEAVEN IS NOT THE DESTINATION OF MAN

HEAVEN IS NOT THE DESTINATION OF MAN   Yes! You saw that right. The “NOT” is not a mistake. That’s it. HEAVEN IS NOT THE DESTINATION OF MAN.   HEAVEN IS NOT YOUR DESTINATION!   You were not created to reside in Heaven. You were created to reside on the earth.   God didn’t form you because he wanted you to occupy heaven but to occupy the earth.   Meanwhile, when I say heaven here I am not referring to the sky and space for they are all part of the earth. Am referring to the real heaven that we know of, where we usually say “God resides.”   Even though we have seen this in our bibles yet it has not occurred to us like this today. Don’t worry, just follow me gently as we unravel a mystery I discovered recently. I pray the Lord helps us and reveals His word to us not to fall into error. Amen.   Just keep an open mind as we continue.   Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.” (KJV) ...

Having Friends but Still Needing a Friend

click now “Please, friends I need who can be my best friend…I need a very good one.” Reading this message above from someone in his Facebook timeline, I felt the pain of this person. I perceived his loneliness, the desperation for someone who could fill in the vacuum in his heart. I felt he needed a friend, a companion, a helpmeet and a partner. You see, for just this few years I have spent on earth I have come to learn a lot of things. Let me show you but a few. I see this person just like most of us. Every one of us might have come to this point in our lives where we desire a true friend. One who speaks the language of our hearts, one who understands our feelings and thoughts and one who is so close to us. Many of us have come to this point whereby even amidst ‘friends’ we still desire a true friend. We live in a time where we have the greatest opportunity to socialize with the advent of the internet and social media and even the opportunity to travel around th...
